Do I need a referral from doctor or specialist to see a physiotherapist?
No. You do not need a referral from your doctor or specialist to see us, but any health information related to your condition will help such as your X-ray, ultrasound, MRI results or letters from hospital and your doctors.
What should I expect from a consultation?
On initial consultation, we will spend some time get to know your history and carry out physical examinations as part of assessment. Then it depends on your condition, we will discuss with you about a plan how to achieve your goal. The treatments might involve education, manual therapy, exercises or a combination of all.
How long does it take to get better?
It depends, as each individual and their heath conditions and goals are different. Majority of our clients’ symptoms improve within 6-8 sessions of treatment. Some chronic and complex conditions require more treatment and self-care strategies combined to gain good results.
Do you bulk bill?
Worker’s injuries through Workcover, TAC (car accidents) and DVA (Veteran Affairs) clients are bulk billed. At some practices, we can also bulk bill through Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) program. Please contact your doctor to see if you are eligible or not.
Do you accept private health insurance?
Yes, we accept all private health insurance. We also have HICAPS machine onsite, which allows instant rebate. All you need to pay is the gap fee.
